About Me

Hello! I am Maria, the QA Dr, and my mission is to assist micro and small businesses in establishing a solid foundation of quality for their operations. This can be in either quality documentation or technical writing including grant and tender writing.

My career path initially led me into Industrial Chemistry, but I stumbled upon the field of Quality Assurance and quickly realised that my scientific background and extensive experience allowed me to perceive aspects that others might overlook and take action accordingly.

I recognise the significance of quality assurance in boosting customer confidence, enhancing credibility, streamlining work processes, improving efficiency, and enabling businesses to compete effectively against their counterparts. Small businesses require support in comprehending quality, implementing robust systems, and competing with job opportunities.

With an unwavering passion for quality assurance, I enjoy using various ISO standards to create policies, procedures, and relevant documentation that seamlessly integrate with business practices while showcasing the unique strengths of a company.

I have approximately 15 years of experience in quality management systems and compliance, and a deep understanding of various standards and regulations. Some examples of the quality systems and specifications I have worked with include the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Guidelines for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, as well as ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 (Testing and calibration) and ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 (Systems and software engineering — Life cycle processes — Requirements engineering).

I love collaborating with auditees and management in auditing processes, deviations, and corrective actions to maintain compliance. Additionally, my expertise in quality management enables me to assist clients in effectively managing documents, records, risks, incidents, and customer feedback to achieve positive outcomes.
